Dear SGA President,
Brenau University recently had the opportunity to host Deanna Latson on our campus. Since Brenau is a small campus with lots of organizations our turn out is normally small compared to most standards unless an event is mandatory. This event was not made mandatory yet we still had a good crowd. And the responses we have received have been even better. Many students have requested that she return for one of our convocations, which is an event that all students, faculty, and staff attend. Deanna took the time to meet with our dinning hall director and now the following has occurred
1. We are having more vegetarian options
2. Our salad bar has increased
3. We have some items made with soy milk instead of dairy such as French Toast
Deanna’s speech impacted many of the students on our campus. She told her personal story of her journey to good health which led others to open up about events going on in there lives. Some comments we received about what people learned include:
“I learned how bad soda really is”
“I learned tangible ways to improve my health”
I highly recommend bringing Deanna Latson to your Campus.
Sincerely,
Melinda Ratcliff
