About

Ahren Belisle is a software engineer turned mental health advocate and comedian. Born in Northern Ontario with cerebral palsy, he is mute and uses his phone to deliver all speech—conversation, keynotes, jokes. Yet his resilience was forged by further trauma beyond simply being ostracized for his condition: overdoses among his close friends and abuse within his family.

Now he receives undivided attention. This comedian who can’t speak has been given a license by audiences to share his voice worldwide. Unimaginable just a few short years ago, Ahren now reaches more than a million followers and uses his platform to spread positivity and laughter.

His story of transformation—from a boy spiteful about the world to a man with deep appreciation for every moment of existence—can teach anyone a new insight: whether it’s adjusting your perspective for resilience’s sake, or accessing happiness and gratitude no matter your circumstance. He says PAWS: “People Are Weirdly Special,” and he’ll walk the crowd through the steps of identifying and cultivating their own weird specialness.

The emotional rollercoaster of Ahren’s life and his captivating, empowering, and hilarious presence is what had voters for America’s Got Talent send him to the Finals, and you can expect nothing less when you host him for your audience.

On behalf of The Arc of California, UCP, and Easterseals I want to express our huge gratitude for joining us at the 16th California Disability Advocacy Conference and providing you humor.  It was a perfect way to kick off day 1 of the conference and attendees from all over the state were laughing with you… I know I was.
