Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides
For tethered rides, a hot air balloon is secured to the ground or other structure to provide passenger flights without the balloon flying away. Tethered balloon events require a site with a 150ft radius, preferably in a low-lying area. High Flying Adventures' balloon pilots are highly experienced and well-equipped to perform tethered balloon activities for many different environments and conditions.

Tethered rides are best scheduled for mornings and evenings within two hours of sunrise or sunset, when winds are the calmest. Events can be two to four hours or more in length. Multiple balloons are available to increase the number of participants.

Our standard passenger balloon holds 4 passengers, depending on weight, and tethers go from to 30ft up to 100ft. Our large passenger balloon (only available in some areas) holds 6 to 8 passengers, depending on weight. Extra fees apply for the larger passenger balloon. Both the standard and larger balloons can be fitted with custom baskets featuring doors for ease of passenger loading and unloading. There are no extra costs associated with these custom baskets, and they are a great option for communities with members who use wheelchairs or have other mobility challenges.

Total ride time can be adjusted to fit your event needs, but we can accommodate 80 passengers per hour on average in a standard balloon and 120 passengers per hour in a larger passenger balloon. Each ride can last from as little as 1 minute up to 5 minutes in the air.
Balloon Glows
Balloon glows are a great addition to large outdoor events held after sunset. When inflated after dusk, a balloon has its own nighttime illumination, actually lighting up the sky. Glows are custom-created based on budget and site layout and are perfect for Homecoming, outdoor concerts, and any event where you want to make a statement.

Whether you bring in one balloon or up to ten balloons or more, this is a show-stopping and unique presentation custom-created for your event. The balloons perform a variety of twinkling burns or all-burn glows, creating a beautiful nighttime constellation. Glow patterns can even be synchronized to coordinate with music.

It was excellent, yet again! Brian is incredible. Even though it was really windy, he did all he could to get the balloon in the air. He even stayed much later to make sure everyone got to ride. Very professional, excellent service, and made for an incredible event.
