Jean Franzblau is a sex-positive and consent-positive speaker who walks her talk. When she discovered the importance of her own sexual empowerment, she wrote a play about it and performed it in ten cities. When she realized how important hugs and affection were to her emotional and physical health, she founded Cuddle Sanctuary in Los Angeles - which has put on over 300 events and served over 500 clients in the three years it’s been in existence. Jean has presented at sexuality conferences on both coasts and for audiences around the country and abroad. She is known for her energy, expressiveness and the ability to drive a point home for her audiences with laughter. When famous actresses began calling out powerful producers for sexual harassment, the world listened and the #MeToo movement was born. Besides a few men getting fired for bad behavior, has any true change occurred? Meet Jean Franzblau, one of Hollywood’s first Intimacy Coordinators.

Sex After #MeToo
In the wake of #MeToo, students are thinking about their sexual choices in a new light. How do I avoid being a victim? How do I make sure I’m never a perpetrator? Can sex and relationships still be fun? Sex After #MeToo is a timely talk that is chock full of practical consent techniques and sexual self care strategies. With an understanding of the serious nature of the subject, sex-positive speaker Jean Franzblau designed Sex After #MeToo to challenge and broaden in an entertaining and engaging program. Her Sexual Approach Model using Harry Potter references is one way to make this talk upbeat and fun.

Your Brain on Hugs
Your Brain on Hugs is an interactive talk that explores the wellness benefits of the body’s natural stress buster - oxytocin. First, students will learn the science that explains how oxytocin - sometimes called  the hug hormone - can improve mental, emotional and physical health. Then they’ll strategize how to boost their oxytocin levels - especially during exam times. Finally they’ll practice consent and communication exercises to assure that hugs are always welcome and wanted.

This talk is skillfully presented by Jean Franzblau - the Founder of Cuddle Sanctuary in Los Angeles. With her leadership, Cuddle Sanctuary has offered over 300 events and served over 500 clients since opening its doors in 2014. A sought after expert, Jean has been featured on TLC, BuzzFeed and Rolling Stone. She has presented at sexuality conferences on both coasts and for audiences across the country. Jean graduated cum laude with a BA in communications from UCLA.

Pajama Party!
Pillows. Blankets. PJ’s. Friends. This is the heart of “Pajama Party!” The experience begins with games to practice boundaries and consent. Students learn the stress busting benefits of platonic touch and have the chance to receive hugs, say “no thanks” and get high on the natural “cuddle chemical” - oxytocin. Then the pajama party begins - a safe, nurturing experience filled with connection, laughter and fun. At the end, students get to share their favorite moments.

THE REAL SEX ED
The Real Sex Ed is an information-packed session that helps people navigate sexual choices with topics including safer sex, consent, decisions about intoxicants, communication skills and sexual diversity. All discussions are sex-positive and affirming. More than half of the states in the U.S. don’t require public schools to teach sex education. Yet studies reveal that comprehensive sex ed helps young people adopt healthy sexual behaviors. In a welcoming, LGBTQ inclusive environment, Jean Franzblau helps people initiate the (at times) awkward conversations necessary to make informed sexual decisions. Jean has presented at sexuality conferences on both coasts and for audiences around the country and abroad. Jean has been featured on BuzzFeed, Comedy Central and Rolling Stone. SEX ED FOR WOMEN (WHAT MOM FORGOT TO TELL YOU)
Sex Ed for Women is an eye-opening, informative talk. Students learn the common misunderstandings about female sexuality and explore safety, consent, anatomy and empowerment. Research tells us that comprehensive sex education for women has positive outcomes such as decreased pregnancies and improved sexual health. In a welcoming, LGBTQ inclusive environment, Jean Franzblau helps female identified students initiate the (at times) awkward conversations necessary to make informed sexual decisions. Jean guides the class in memorable lessons and powerful conversations so they can up-level their knowledge, self-awareness and confidence. DISRUPTING THE POWER DYNAMICS IN HOLLYWOOD
When famous actresses began calling out powerful producers for sexual harassment, the world listened and the #MeToo movement was born. Besides a few men getting fired for bad behavior, has any true change occurred? Meet Jean Franzblau, one of Hollywood’s first Intimacy Coordinators. An Intimacy Coordinator is the newest crew member on TV and film sets who advocates for actors who are asked to do scenes with simulated sex, nudity or other kinds of intimacy. Intimacy Coordinators are on the front lines of the culture change that #MeToo started. It’s messy, awkward and yes, there’s push-back. In this presentation Jean shares how her career path evolved and what it’s like going head-to-head with Hollywood’s most powerful players. Session length: 70 minutes + Q&A
