During high pressure situations, it can be difficult to try to maintain composed and think through ways to maintain safety and de-escalate/disengage. My favorite take-away from the session was the simplified approach to disengaging safely. Unfortunately, Real-Life dangers don’t give us the time to pause and evaluate/think through what to do, so having a quick strategy to use can be so important.
